Casting & Rolling

Coining maintains raw material inventories including gold, silver, tin, lead, indium and other metals which we alloy into the required composition using lower temperature melting processes for soldering alloys and with an induction furnace for brazing alloys.

After the alloying process, soldering and brazing materials are manufactured into strip using a series of processes that vary depending on the characteristics of the material involved.

Coining has decades of experience and can easily determine the right mix of thickness and width for the various alloys involved.

Strip material is then rolled to create the final desired part thickness. Finally, the strip is slit to proper width. Coining's highly skilled and experienced operators are capable of producing material as thin as 0.0003 inch (0.0075mm). Our standard alloys are always ready to be punched for delivery.
