Gary Holcomb, CEO Mr. Holcomb joined Coining in 2004. He previously served as President & CEO of Dawar Technologies, Vice President & General Manager of Fisher Scientific's Lab Equipment Division, General Manager of Dynamet's Forged Products Division and Vice President Marketing & Sales of Trimeter Technologies. Mr. Holcomb led all these organizations to significantly higher levels of revenue and profitability. For his efforts at Dawar, he was selected as a finalist for Ernst & Young's Western Pennsylvania Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2003. Mr.Holcomb provides Coining's overall general management leadership. He is actively involved with Coining's marketing, sales and new product development activities and spends considerable time traveling to visit customers. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Ken Whited, President Mr. Whited is a 20-year Coining veteran who rose through the ranks to become President in 2001. His in-depth knowledge of the company's processes and systems enables him to make contributions in many areas. Mr. Whited is responsible for the day-to-day operations. His hands-on management style is well suited to improving operational efficiencies, balancing conflicting priorities and leading the Coining team on a day-to-day basis. Under his direction, Coining has doubled the floor space of its Saddle Brook, NJ facility since 2000. Mr. Whited received his BA in Business, majoring in Accounting, from Dominion College and passed the CPA exam in 1995.
Peter Pachella, Vice President - Manufacturing Mr. Pachella has worked at Coining since 1979, starting as a tool and die maker and rising to his current position. He is exceptionally skilled at designing and developing stamping tooling for the company's various customer requirements. Under Mr. Pachella's leadership, Coining has developed what it believes to be the largest library of preform stamping tools in the industry as well as the demonstrated capability to develop new tools faster than any competitor. He is also highly involved with many facets of day-to-day operations including oversight of equipment and facility maintenance.
Julie Scelzo, Vice President - Inside Sales, Customer Service & Marketing Ms. Scelzo joined Coining twenty years ago and is responsible for all marketing and inside sales activities including quotations, trade shows, marketing literature, advertising and management of Coining's customer service organization. She personally has developed close relationships with many of Coining's large and mid-sized customers. Ms.Scelzo is the individual ultimately responsible for delivering Coining's high level of customer service. Prior to Coining, she was Commercial Sales Manager at Aerial Machine & Tool Corp. Ms. Scelzo studied Business and Paralegal Studies at Montclair State University.
Vito Tanzi, Vice President - Field Sales Mr. Tanzi started his professional career with SPM as a manufacturing engineer in 1993. He was promoted to quality assurance manager before leaving the company to pursue various operations, technical and product management positions with the Thin Film Division of Aeroflex MIC Technology and Park Electrochemical Corp. Mr. Tanzi returned to SPM in 2005 as Executive Vice President, then joined Coining in January 2009 when the company acquired SPM. He is responsible for managing Coining's network of outside sales personnel and independent sales representatives. Mr. Tanzi earned a BS in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Paul Nikac, Vice President - Operations Mr. Nikac manages Coining's facility in Armonk, NY and has oversight responsibility for the company's operations in Penang, Malaysia and Casablanca, Morocco. He joined SPM in 1995 and progressed into management through a series of sales and operations roles with increasing responsibility including quoting department manager, regional sales manager, and director of sales. Mr. Nikac was promoted to Executive Vice President at SPM in 2003 and assumed his current position when Coining acquired SPM in January 2009. He has a BA in Mathematics and an AAS in Business Administration from Concordia College.
John Bailey, Controller Mr. Bailey was recruited to Coining in 2007 to strengthen the company's management organization. He previously worked at Par Pharmaceutical as Cost Accounting Manager and at Holtzbrinck Publishers as Director of Cost and Inventory Accounting. Mr. Bailey has responsibility for all accounting and financial functions at the Saddle Brook, NJ facility and for consolidating overall corporate financial results. He holds a BS in Accounting from Fairfield University and an MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Susan Maddox, Controller (NY) Ms. Maddox served as SPM's accounting supervisor from 1992 to 1995 and the company's controller from 1995 through 2008. She also was corporate secretary, treasurer and chief accounting officer at SPM from 2003 to 2008. Prior to SPM, Ms. Maddox was employed at Microphase Corporation as accounting supervisor, assistant controller and controller and at Norcon Instruments as accounting manager. She joined Coining in January 2009 and assumed controllership responsibilities for the company's facilities in Armonk, NY; Penang, Malaysia; and Casablanca, Morocco. Ms. Maddox earned a BS in accounting from Sacred Heart University.
Charles Italiano, Engineering Manager Mr. Italiano oversees Coining's engineering and product development activities at its Armonk, NY; Penang, Malaysia; and Casablanca, Morocco facilities. He served as quality assurance manager and director of operations at SPM from 1989 through 1998, then rejoined the firm in 2006 as engineering manager before assuming his current role at Coining when the company acquired SPM in January 2009. Mr. Italiano was the technical director at Sigmund Cohn from 1998 to 2006 and earlier worked as a product engineer and quality assurance manager at Clairex. He holds a BS in mechanical engineering from the City University of New York.
Martin Oud, R&D Manager Mr. Oud has over forty years of industry experience including positions of Manager of Research and Quality Assurance, Project Engineer and Project Manager at competitive companies. He joined Coining in 2000 and has made many contributions in product development, process improvement, quality assurance, and marketing. Prior to Coining, Mr. Oud worked for fifteen years for Billiton Witmetal. Mr. Oud received his Masters of Science in Metallurgy from the University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands.
Martin Mott, Operations Manager Mr. Mott joined Coining in 1998 in materials management and was promoted to his current position in 2004. He is responsible for the company's manufacturing operations in Saddle Brook, NJ including alloying, casting, rolling, stamping and materials management. Under Mr. Mott's leadership, Coining has continued to excel at delivering quality products with industry best short lead-times, even as volumes have increased significantly.
Wang Ping, General Manager Asia Pacific Mr. Wang manages Coining's representative office in China located in Beijing. He joined the company in 2003 in Saddle Brook, NJ, then relocated to Beijing in 2004 to oversee Coining's activities in Asia. Mr. Wang directs the efforts of the company's independent sales representatives and resellers in China. He has been responsible for cultivating successful relationships with numerous new Chinese customers. Mr. Wang previously worked for Trimble Navigation, Evans Equipment, Midwest Superconductivity and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Henan Province of the People's Republic of China. He has a BS in English from Henan University and an MS in American History from Pittsburg State University.
Joseph DePalma, Quality Assurance Manager Mr. DePalma was recruited to Coining in 2008 to direct the company's day-to-day in-process inspection, final inspection and packaging activities at its Saddle Brook, NJ facility. He previously served as Quality Director at WH Industies and Quality Manager at SPM. Mr. DePalma has an extensive background in precision stamping within a ISO 9001:2000 and TS 16949 environment and has been a certified auditor for both of these quality standards. He received his BS in Materials Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University. |
